How to choose an automation integrator for sugar mills

Assess process knowledge, engineering interfaces, demonstrable experience and support after implementation.

Define the integration scope

An integrator connects engineering, equipment and software to fulfil a process-control function. In a mill, this involves electrical, instrumentation, operations and maintenance interfaces.

Specify whether surveying, design, panels, programming, field installation, commissioning and training are included. Do not assume every offer covers them all.

Request comparable references

Look for the relevant intervention type: greenfield, expansion or revamp. Ask which disciplines and deliverables the supplier actually handled.

Client names help locate references but do not replace scope descriptions. Prefer documented context, deliverables and supportable results.

Consider continuity after delivery

Check compatibility with installed platforms, program and licence access, documentation, tests and knowledge transfer. Agree how the mill receives files and maintains the installation.

Discuss support and assistance terms. Schedules must account for operating windows, procurement and testing as well as software development.

Authomathika capabilities

Founded in 1999 in Sertãozinho, Authomathika combines automation, electrical engineering and industrial assembly. Its portfolio includes PLC, DCS and SCADA projects and implementation and modernisation references.

Share the industry, process area, existing platform, objectives and target dates. A proposal should translate these into responsibilities and delivery criteria.
